Y atención, porque también se recomienda practicarlo cuando estamos enfermos, para que la recuperación sea más rápida y completa. No hay necesidad de hacer una actividad muy activa o intensa, simplemente trotar alrededor del parque o caminar lo suficientemente rápido.

Algunas investigaciones también sugieren que hacer ejercicios cardiovasculares ayuda a prevenir otros tipos de enfermedades más complejas y graves, como en el caso del cáncer y las enfermedades neurodegenerativas como el Alzheimer.

No se trata de correr sin parar, o de montar una bicicleta fija en el gimnasio durante horas. El cardio debe hacerse progresivamente y teniendo en cuenta nuestras capacidades.

Se recomienda realizar tres sesiones semanales de al menos 30 minutos cada una. Puedes cambiar entre los diferentes ejercicios y temas hasta que encuentres el que más te guste.
