La práctica está diseñada para ejecutar las posiciones sin dolor, esto significa hacer el menor esfuerzo posible para liberar el voltaje. Por lo general, las sesiones de yoga restaurador pueden ir acompañadas de música suave y meditación guiada.

Yoga Anusara

Yoga Anusara es una de las ramas del Yoga que busca la fluidez y la armonía del cuerpo y el espíritu. Este estilo de Yoga viene de las manos de John Friend en 1997. Anusara viene del sánscrito,’anu’ significa’con’ y’sara’ significa’fluir’, así que se puede decir que Anusara significa’fluir con gracia’ o también’estado natural’.

En este tipo de Yoga, la paz se construye tratando de integrarse en el universo. Consiste en diferentes posiciones que estimulan varios puntos focales (como el corazón o la pelvis) y ciclos de energía en diferentes partes del cuerpo.

Entre las ramas del Yoga, Anusara es ideal para personas que buscan o les gusta la filosofía del tantrismo o la bondad intrínseca. Una de las características más llamativas del Anusara Yoga son las tres A’s:

  • Actitud: es despertar a la Divinidad misma.
  • Alineación: ser consciente de cómo están interconectadas las diferentes partes del cuerpo.
  • Acción: se refiere al flujo de energía natural en el cuerpo.

Yin Yoga

El Yin Yoga, a diferencia de los otros estilos de Yoga que se originan en la India, tiene sus raíces en China. También se refiere a la teoría del yin y el yang, que son ideas opuestas que juntas representan el equilibrio.

Las posturas en Yin Yoga son generalmente más largas que en otros estilos de Yoga, se realizan durante tres minutos o más. Y se centran en conectar diferentes puntos del cuerpo más que en ejercitar los músculos, es muy similar a la meditación.

Kundalini Yoga

El Kundalini Yoga se basa en la ejecución de posturas, ejercicios de respiración y meditación para despertar la energía kundalini. Esta energía tiene su origen en Nepal y es la creencia de que la kundalini, que significa serpiente en sánscrito, nace en la boca y se aloja en la base de la columna vertebral.

Además, el objetivo es despertar la energía del kundalini a través de diferentes chakras y posiciones.

Este tipo de Yoga prepara al cuerpo para recibir energía, es decir, condiciona al cuerpo y a la mente para liberar la energía del kundalini. Además, utilizan ciertos mantras y asanas. Es un estilo de Yoga que está muy inclinado a alcanzar el bienestar espiritual.

El yoga es una puerta abierta a un largo camino para aprender y conectarnos con nuestro ser interior. No sólo aporta grandes beneficios al estado físico, sino también a la salud mental y espiritual.
